Account Information
When you create an account, we collect basic credentials to authenticate you securely via our cloud database (Supabase).
Device & Usage Data
We collect basic analytics (such as device type, operating system, and crash reports) to maintain the stability and performance of the app.
Apple HealthKit Data
If you explicitly grant AmalSync permission, we may read select vital signs and cycle data from Apple HealthKit to display within our app. AmalSync never writes data to Apple Health. HealthKit data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted to our cloud servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information strictly to provide and improve the AmalSync service. This includes authenticating your account, delivering symptom tracking features, and, only with your explicit opt-in consent, utilizing secure third-party AI processors to generate statistical health summaries.
4. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
On-Device vs. Cloud
AmalSync prioritizes on-device processing. If you use "Guest Mode," all data remains securely on your local device. For registered users, data is securely synced to our encrypted cloud database (Supabase) to allow for cross-device access and data recovery.
Data Retention & Minimization
We retain your active account data as long as you use AmalSync. To practice safe data minimization, if your account remains inactive (no logins or logged symptoms) for 24 consecutive months, your data will be automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.
5. Additional U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your U.S. state of residence (including but not limited to California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut), state laws grant you specific rights regarding your personal information. AmalSync extends these rights to all our users, regardless of location:
- Right to Access & Portability: You have the right to request a portable copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Correct: You may request corrections to inaccurate personal data.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your data or its use for targeted advertising. AmalSync does not sell your personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service if you choose to exercise these privacy rights.
